The 1080 and 1100 were the last designs of Paul Fuller. These two mark the end of
the "Golden Age of Jukeboxes". From 1935 to World War II Wurlitzer was the "king".
After the war, jukeboxes sold as fast as anyone could make them for a year of two
and then the bottom fell out for Wurlitzer.
The 1015, 1080 and 1100 were in any way
pre-war: the styling was still the same, the technology and the number of selections
was barely changed.
After 1100 they knew that something had to happen, Paul Fuller
turned the job over to someone else and Wurlitzer would never be "king".
