The Continental was completely different from the current jukebox styling, by separation
of the title board and the cabinet.
Through the glass dome over the mechanism it reminds
us of a biosphere, you almost expect a miniature city that you will see when you
look through the dome. What you see is part of the plate holder, the gripper arm
and turntable.
The Continental owes a bit of fame and public awareness through a role
in the movie Ghost with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore in 1990.
About a year later
the Continental 2 was released, this almost identical jukebox, differes in the division
of the title board, on one side, the titles of the records are shown and on the other
side, a space for the name of the company or an album cover . In addition, the colors
changed.
