AMI Model A

The AMI Model A, better known as the Mother of Plastic. Almost six feet high and three feet wide the Model A was one of the largest jukeboxes ever made and also because of his "oceans of plastic”, probably one of the most outrageous.
This was the first jukebox where the records were vertical placed and used a gripper arm to select them, to be played horizontally. Later this system was copied by the other manufacturers including Rock-Ola and Wurlitzer.
During the design of the jukebox the 45 rpm records were not yet invented, later when they became more popular the Model A was often converted.
The Model A is definitely an impressive jukebox. His presence in a room can not be ignored.
